Codex Pets are installable desktop pet packs for Codex. Each pack includes a pet.json manifest, metadata, README, and a spritesheet that Codex can render as an animated companion.

How do you install a Codex Pet?

You can install a Codex Pet with the Agent Mag CLI by running npx agentmag add codexpet . The CLI resolves the pet name, downloads the spritesheet, and writes the pack into ~/.codex/pets/ .

What does the Codex Pets gallery include?

The Codex Pets gallery includes approved pet packs with searchable names, vibes, kinds, sprite previews, and direct download links. Each detail page also shows the available animation states and install command.
